Does positive thinking work for you?

What effects have you observed when thinking positively, and does it lead to success?

sure it works.  no it won't necessarily make you a millionaire, but i wouldn't say that's what it's for anyway.

the point of positive thinking is to keep your mind operating at it's best, that's all: no matter what situation you're in, no matter what's going on, or going wrong, you're generally going to deal with that s hit better, if you're in a good mood.   so its to your advantage to keep your mood positive.

it's not hard to do, and it's stupid to throw away any advantage that comes so easily

It doesn't help unless you do something to make it work.

It sure does work but not in the case of depression. Telling a depressed person to think positive is useless. They cannot think positively in the first place. For a normal person yes positive thinking do wonders.

An intelligent approach to positive thinking involves being realistic but also looking for the advantages of whatever comes your way. It's a matter of effort and imagination. When things don't go as planned, instead of cursing your bad luck look for possible advantages in the new situation. Life gives you lemons, big ones or little ones, every day. Keep making lemonade.

The expression "positive thinking" is sometimes used for psychotherapy that deals with persistent, unrealistic negative thinking. It's not the same thing exactly.

Success comes from action.  For a student for example, action means doing the homework and study on a timely basis.  Positive thinking can help a lot but without action is meaningless.
