Do you have to tap out with your card on London Buses?

I will be using my contactless bank card to pay on the bus. Do I only tap it when I first get on the bus or do I have to tap out when I'm ending my journey too please?

Thanks

Update:

I don't live in London, I will be going there next month. So the question is for those who use London buses, thanks

On the bus just tap in on the pad by the driver. It's a standard fare regardless of distance. ( if you try to tap out you could be double charged)

On the rail tap in and tap out.

The charges get on your account within 24 hours, and are capped at the cost of a day rover even if you travel all day.

If you use the TFL website you can register your card and track the journeys/charges on line.

Just tap it when you get on.
