Buy some land and develop it. Isn't that what you got your degree for?

You could work for someone who develops real estate.  Get together enough money and you can develop it yourself.

Work for a real estate developer or a construction contractor that builds commercial/industrial/residential projects.

Without a large amount of financial backing working for yourself wouldn't be very successful.

Develop real estate.  Sounds like you didn't get much out of your schooling.

You could develop real estate!  You could come up with a plan having to do with an available parcel of real estate, sell the idea to investors, deal with contractors and builders and the city, and make a ton of money.  Or you could work for an established developer who'd already done this.

Real estate development is one of those business that can make huge amounts of money or LOSE huge amounts.  Sometimes it just comes down to luck, but you're more likely to succeed if you know what you're doing.  Which is why you get the degree.

Luck has little or no part in the process.....It's has to do with doing due diligence, having the skills and the financial backing.

    Realistically?  ...."welcome to McDonalds".

Unless you have a job waiting for you, its likely going to be hard to find a job in real estate development.
