Flying at lightspeed?

If you fly through Earth's atmosphere at the speed of light, would you catch fire?

Thanks!

You wouldn't have time to catch fire.  You would be vaporized.  Atomized.  Disintegrated.  Cease to exist.  All in the first microsecond.  Fire is the combination of material with oxygen.  And that takes some time.  Time that you wouldn't have.

Only our Souls can travel faster than the speed of light in order to reach Heaven in a reasonable amount of time. we will all experience that when we die

at the speed of light time stands still (for you) - so there would be no time to catch fire

(you could cross the universe in zero time (your time)

Pieces of rubble flying at a tiny fraction of lightspeed get vaporised as soon as they enter the athmosphere

Not a chance. Fire is hot and everyone knows you can catch "COLD"  but not "HOT" !!

A web page on sciencefocus.com suggests that in the lower troposphere, you could catch fire by going a mere 6000 km/h (whereas the speed of light is nearly 200000 times that fast).

definitely. you'd catch on fire going much slower than lightspeed.

Yet another totally worthless non-committal bit of fence-sitting from you. Why do you bother?
