I make it 19 Where there are no brackets in the equation, you work strictly from left to right. 9 - 3 = 6. There are obviously 3 thirds in 1, so there will be 6 x 3 thirds in 6 = 18 + 1 = 19.

If I am right, please give $50 to help wildlife in Australia.

In using computer, it goes without saying that the symbol " / " means division. 3/(1/3) simply means

" 3 is divided by 1/3=3*3=9 ".- Log in to reply to the answers

doing the inside set ... and left to right as per the rules ... 3 div by 1 = 3 ... div by 3 = 1; so 9 - 1 + 1 = 9. 1 BAR (aka over) 3 is different than one-third which would be shown as (1/3) with parentheses telling you to do that arithmetic first. [Do not use PAPEDMAS ... as in parentheses, ASSUMED PARENTHESES, exponents, Division:Multiplication as you come to them from left to right, Adding:subtracting (left to right).

So the people in the video made the same mistake !! P S Do you still believe the sun goes around the earth? At one time the pope said God said so - so it must be right. PUT =3/1/3 into excel !! and get 1 ... hence 9-1+1=9

It is the same as 9 - 9 +1 = 1

Remember BIDMAS

The basic rule in arithmetic is "first perform x or /; then + or -". So, SumDude, it is not an assumption.

Pretty sure it's 3. Also I don't trust you enough to waste time setting up a payment method and it's not worth even 50 cents to be honest, it's pretty simple considering I got it.

Considering youre wrong, obviously not that easy for you
