WD-40 is NOT EDIBLE and should not be used anywhere you prepare food. Yes, it's flammable, no it will not remove grease. A safe mixture of baking soda and vinegar can remove grease without poisoning you.

It will not remove grease, it IS grease and yes, it will burn.

Wd-40 is very flammable and I would not use it in my kitchen. It is a petroleum product and toxic.

That’s not something you’d want to use on food contact surfaces or cooking appliances.

It may help to remove grease a little bit, but it would not be recommended because it may ignite.
