Sewerage  systems. Without  a system  to rid a city or  anywhere really of  our  human  waste, everywhere  there was more than  about  500 people  living  next  to  each other  would  be  smelly  dirty  contaminated  disease  ridden pox  hole. Every  civilization that has  done  well has had  some  sort of  water  delivery  system  and a waste  water  system. These  systems  are  either man made or an  adaptation of a  natural  one. Via ducts  Aquaducts, building  cities  always  around a water  course  was  and  usually  still is the  NORM.
