What "empowers" the US Government is the US Constitution.

How that Constitution gets interpreted as it pertains to the US Laws written by Congress and enacted by the POTUS is what we pay the 9 members of the SCOTUS Bench for.

What empowers the government is that insane defense budget given to them by some cowardly paranoid people thinking every human in the world is going to get them for some reason. They think somehow the government will defend them when **** hits the fan. In truth they're empowering their government to further enslaved them.

    American principles of principles?

    • Too much politics, redundancy. I meant to say, "or".

I would never support the government having more control or getting more powerful.

    • Geeze, supporting troops is really hard work. Twenty 25 years of data collection and conspiracy theories turn out to be the fun part.

Not sure exactly what you are asking here but:

    What exactly are American principles?

Our government is basically a corporatocracy, bought and paid for by special interests with an obscene amount of money.  Voters are simply pawns.
