How do birds fly with wings but when I steal their wings and put them on me I can't fly?

    You weigh to much. Your bones are solid, a birds are not. Birds have the muscle structure, you don't. After all that is said & done, you can parasail.

    Because you are too heavy.  Birds have hollow bones so very light, we do not and are heavy in comparison.

    Birds are quite light (even large ones).  You would be able to fly (with strap-on wings) in an air-filled cavern on the moon.
