How do introverts handle wedding attention?
With weddings being all about attention for the bride and groom, how do introverts (of all levels) handle it? Are their receptions shorter so that they can get away? How do they handle all the attention/people?

I live in a place where adult couples plan their own weddings and can make them as small and low-key as they wish. I do understand that in some parts the parents do this and it's pretty hard to avoid a huge, splashy wedding. But when an introvert is forced to have some massive wedding it's probably a pretty difficult day for them. It is pretty common in a lot of places for there to be some alcohol involved in the getting ready process. That likely takes the edge off a bit.

I'm more of an introvert/reserved and I had the basic reception everyone else does. I didn't shorten it due to that.
I'm reserved/quiet, I'm not rude. I still have your basic manners and I still mingled with people, thanked all my guests individually and all that. Small groups I can do, larger ones not so much. Fake it til you make it.
It helped/helped me that my husband is my polar opposite. He's an outgoing social butterfly. He has a really good personality. He can go somewhere, not know anyone and come out with 5 new BFF's. The belle of the ball at our wedding was him.
A lot of couples who I've seen where both are introverts typically had smaller affairs and some had destination or private weddings due to it.

Weddings are about getting married. There is no need for anyone to receive tons of attention if that is something that would stress them out. Eloping is an option as is having a courthouse wedding with only the required witnesses. Or a very small wedding with just a handful of guests. Eloping doesn't require a reception. For a courthouse or very small wedding, the reception could be something as simple as dinner in a restaurant or a backyard BBQ that resembles any other family gathering. Or it could even be just cake and punch.
