    thirTEEN fourTEEN

Yes they are TEENS. Pretty much all 13 year olds are in middle school. That does not make them any less teens. Most 19 year olds aren't in high school they are still teens.

    Well, it depends...

I mean, do you mean the literal meaning ? Yes, in that sense 14 year olds are indeed teens, no matter whether they are in high school already or are still finishing middle school.

Technically, however, adolescence actually coincides on a social level with the years of high school.

As long as you still are in middle school, you are still a child.

Middle school 's pupils are the so called group age of 'tweens '.

    Highschoolers are,of course, 'teenagers '.

The term 'teenager ' designs the kid from 13 to 19 years of age.

Exactly. Nowadays, however, there is a lot  of confusion...I mean ,children are encouraged to behave as teens when they still are in their preteen years.  Yet they still live with their parents and are not invested in resposabilities whatsoever until they are way past their 30rd birthday....

I studied to become a middle school(ages 11-13 teacher) a fun and challenging age group. They think they know everything and can have too much attitude at times(testing the boundaries), but that’s only about 30 Percent of the challenge, 👍

If  there is  teen at the end of the number of their age they are TEENAGERS.  It does not denote their level of physical or emotional maturity.
