Can you still live despite losing entire blood content? ?

    Yes, but ONLY IF you're intubated and being given hyperbaric oxygen at 3 or more atmospheres. (a few pigs in an experiment were the only ones to actually survive losing all of their blood volume)

    Otherwise, no. If you're "exsanguinated" IE, you lose most or all of your blood then you'll definitely be dead.

      No you wouldn't be. Hyperbaric chambers extend the perfusion of free oxygen in the blood by so much that under enough pressure, you wouldn't need red blood cells to carry any of it. Of course, these pigs in this experiment are paralyzed and sedated and had very low demand... But they all survived.

    I highly doubt it. If you you lose all your blood, it's like an engine that's lost all the gas and/or oil..there's nothing to help it function. Also, blood supply feeds vital organs.

    Then there would be no need for blood drives. But they still need blood, so it is necessary for survival.

    No. Blood is essential for providing the oxygen that all the rest of your body needs to function.
