Three capacitors! How do you solve this?

Three capacitors are connected in series. The equivalent capacitance of this combination is 2.50 μF. Two of the individual capacitances are 6.70 μF and 9.20 μF. What is the third capacitance (in μF)?

    The formula for capacitors in series is the same as for resistors in parallel.

    Cx = 1 / (1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3)

    You know Cx and you know two of the others.

    Take the reciprocal of Cx and subtract the reciprocals of the known values and you are left with the reciprocal of the unknown one.

    You will understand that if you work it out correctly.
