it depends where they made the hole

Wow....gravity will ensure that goes down

It would go down the hole.

It’s impossible to make a whole through the earth. However, if someone did, it would probably burn since temperatures go higher as you get closer to the inner core.

first of all it's not possible to made a hole the earth. but if someone can made it and threw something down then it's fall down opposite site on hole.

It would fall and accelerate until it reached the center. Its momentum would keep it going, slowing on its way up. Its speed becomes zero at the surface on other side of Earth. It then falls again and repeats the cycle. It takes 84 minutes for it to make the round trip and come back to you.

This ignores friction, air resistance, heat, and the Coriolis force due to Earth's rotation.

Providing we can find a way to drill  the hole and line it against the heat and pressure

We could take a Ball and simply drop it down the hole and wait for it to come back

The A4Z Ball would accelerate due to Gravity until it passes the Half way point

Where it will come under the force of gravity slowing it down

It will in fact stop at the other surface and fall back through again

This is all in theory of course but the time calculated would be 45 minutes per passing

What a Mode of transport that would be

actually friction with the air would prevent oscillation. the item would eventually wind up centered at the center of the core. once there any further movement would be resisted by ever increasing gravity as the object attempted to move away from the core.. (hint: it would become "heavier").

If you were able to throw it perfectly accurately and there was nothing in the tunnel, not even air, it would amount to being a special kind of orbit. It would accelerate for twenty-two minutes until reaching the centre, then gradually decelerate until reaching the antipodes, after which it would fall back and do the same thing, continuing practically forever. The round trip would take about an hour and a half.

      And ignoring the Coriolis force.
