Why am I so sore after having done 5 pullups?

Update:

I did 5 pullups last night and today my entire body is sore af. why?

How can 5 pullups do that to my body?

    because you're using muscles you haven't used in a while, or have never stressed. You're not going to die. You'll strengthen them eventually, build them up and the pullups will no longer stress your muscles. (unless you over do it, of course)

    probably  did  the  pull-ups  incorrectly … there's  several  youtube  videos … demonstrating  the  correct  method.

  • I don't know.... Are you sure you did them right? Where are you sore? Don't go all the way down so you're yanking your shoulders out of their sockets.

    If you feel sore mostly on the outsides of your shoulder blades (high on the back) the day after doing a good pull-up workout, chances are you didn't tap into the real lat bellies down lower on the back.
