why do i hear ringing in my left ear?

two nights ago, my sister yelled in to my left ear really loud , and made my ear hurt. today and yesterday, i could HEAR my charger making some high pitched noise,  but only in my left ear. it feels funny, and if i go quiet and i can hear a subtle really high pitch in it. should i go to the doctor???? or is it just where she yelled in it? cause its getting on my nerves

    called tinnitus, and it comes from a LOUD noise that can damage your hearing;  it MAY go away OR not - I got mine in my left ear in Viet Nam sometime in the late '60's .........

    I think you have tinnitus, you should see your doctor.
