If your brake lines are leaking do they leak the fluid when you step on the brake or when the car is sitting still?

BRAKE fluid is a DEAD fluid when it turns BROWN< and becomes ACIDIC LIQUID SANDPAPER. The BEST car makers insist that you change the BRAKE FLUID every 2-3 years or use the newest SYNTHETIC brake fluid from Europe! GM brake lines are SO VERY THIN that after about 6 years they begin to ROT AWAY! One shop near me stays ALIVE be replacing GM brake lines regularly! GM is a MESS!

Both, although they tend to squirt out when you step on the brake.

When you step on the brake.  GET THEM CHECKED OUT YESTERDAY.

Brake lines should never leak.  GET it Towed there because  tow truck drivers need the work.

You have a lousy mechanic. LOL. I hope you didn't strip the threads or kink the line. No, do not step on the breaks. Have it towed to a shop.

Both. Just replace the brake lines immediately before you die.

When you stomp on the brakes. But, if it's a hole on a brake line, they can leak all of the time until the brake fluid reservoir or master cylinder is dry.

More when you step on the brakes because of the higher pressure.

It can leak in both situations. One due to gravity, the other due to pressure.
