Australia & US are the two most expensive countries in the world for tertiary education, especially for foreign students as foreign students have lots of expenses citizens do not incur.

Expect to need at least AUD60,000-75,000/yr for Australia; Canada - CAD40,000/yr; US - USD50,000/yr. Proof of sufficient funds for all school + living expenses + return transportation to your country of citizenship required to apply for student visa if a university accepts you. Before applying to schools abroad, make sure your parents have plenty of money for it.

It sure isn't free in Canada, not even for Canadians, and it costs more for international students than for Canadians. In general, they pay at least twice what Canadians pay for university. College and university are two different things in Canada. I don't know which one you really mean. You can check tuition prices on the website of any school. I don't know about Australia.
