How many senior citizens remember going to the movies for a quarter?

Popcorn was 10 cents and so was cold drinks.

Movies now-a-days, they clear the theater between showings. You can't stay to watch it the second time!

I vaguely remember being a kid and paying that. That was in the 1950s.

My memories go back to the early 1960s. That sounds right.

There was also something called the "newsreel theatre".  This was only 10 cents. My mom used to drop me off there. I liked this more than kids shows.

I do!  The local theater had Saturday matinees.  One of my parents would drop my friends and I off and then pick us up.  50 cents for an afternoon's entertainment.
