Ohio does extend into Lake Erie.  The deepest part of the lake is in Canada.  New York has the deepest U.S. spot.

Ohio has its deepest Erie lake depths around 25  m.

    see map

but from what I can determine, Ohio ends at the shore of Lake Erie. IE, there is zero of the lake in Ohio.

the deepest part is on the east, closest to NY.

Lake Erie has a max depth of 210 ft. It's the shallowest of the great lakes. It has the most water quality issues of the great lakes (too much algae) but is cleaner than it used to be, much progress has been made on restoring the water quality and fish population

That would be the hipster, Peyton.  But he's mostly talk and Jack Kerouac quotes.
