Never happened. Tesla was the genius inventor...who got overshadowed by Tom Edison(and his marketing).  Tesla invented AC current electricity and Edison invented DC current electricity.  Google it up to get a better understanding in the differences in electricity.

. Edison was more a self promoter, Tesla was an inventor who lived at the same time period.  AC is superior to DC in so many ways.

. Elon Musk used the name Tesla (as names usually do not have patents on them especially when the owner is dead.)

.  A recognition to the inventor of AC electricity and his genius.

Or would you rather drive around in a "Musk-mobile"?  Elon is also a self promoter.

Tesla invented AC Power  System--Not the "current".. Tom Edison didn't "overshadow" him, his DC system crapped out in a few blocks. His underground wires shorted and shocked horses thru their shoes! It was first supplanted by AC in NYC  1928, full conversion in 2007.

  • He didn't ''hand it'' over.

Who do you think is in the driver's seat of that Tesla circling the Earth.

He didn't. Nikola Tesla died in 1943. Elon Musk wasn't born until 1971.

The ONLY connection between the two men is that Musk named his electric cars after Tesla.

Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning created Tesla, with Musk on the board, and when they left, Elon Musk was the most senior member of the entire company, he became head. I believe those two named it for Nikola Tesla.

Tesla died penniless because he was screwed by a robber baron named Thomas Edison.
