Difference between Fibrous and Fibrinous?
Pathology teacher lists Fibrosis as chronic inflammation and Fibrinous as acute inflammation.

Fibrosis relates to the activation of fibroblast laying down collagen fibers for tissue repair ie scar tissue. Fibrinous relates to the laying down of fibrin as an initial part of wound healing. Fibrin is not permanent compared to collagen. It provides the initial matrix for the wound ie scab which is comprised of platelets and fibrin.
