Can baby drop while laying down/sleeping?

Mothers claim youll be able to tell when baby drops, ive been feeling pelvic pressure for a long time so im not sure if i will be able to tell when he drops. Can a baby drop while you sleep? Is it really noticeable when they do? Im 37 weeks today and i dont think my baby has dropped yet, my stomach doesnt look any lower either sometimes i feel his hiccups on the left or right side of my belly.

Yes.  A baby can drop when the mother is in any position.  It is not true that most women feel it.  It isn't as if someone drops a book.  The baby simply moves into position.  Your Ob/Gyn will verify whether or not the baby has dropped.  I would assume you are seen your ob/gyn on a weekly basis at this point in your pregnancy.

Of course.  And of course a baby can just not drop at all either.
