Do you trust what medical authorities in China say?

Medical authorities in China have said a drug used in Japan to treat new strains of influenza appeared to be effective in coronavirus patients, Japanese media said on Wednesday

When they are allowed to speak freely, maybe. Oops.

Not entirely, but it's not to be totally discounted either.

    Japan I trust.

Perhaps now the Chinese will stop wanting to blow them up.

    I heard this, too.

I've also heard that an anti-virus medication designed to stop Ebola is also having some success in lessening the symptoms of the Corona Virus in some patients now.

You know, America has many, many top notch teaching universities who actually work on designing new drugs and those universities rely on the National Science Foundation (our government) to fund their research that eventually gets sold to private pharmaceutical manufacturers who develop and test the drug and then gouge Americans with the price for it....when it was our own tax money that paid to find it in the first place.

So, at this time, as Trump gets ready for another tax cut for the wealthy...do you want our tax dollars to go to our universities in the form of research grants to find new medications for us and the rest of the world?  Seems like a good investment to me.  But that's socialism.

If it is tested and proved to work without any bad side effects, yes. Certainly test it and give it a chance.

If they said that, it's worth investigating. Not for me to "trust" them or not. Hopefully, our medical people will take a look. Don't see what they'd have to gain by making false claims. Nobody has looked good in this and most governments are trying to avoid further embarrassment.

We should trust the World Health Organization. Trump has refused their assistance which is a really nitwitted thing to do.
