Should a company have a right to tell you weather you can have facial hair or not?

Yes they should. There are levels of hygiene required by some industries and other have safety requirements which makes facial hair an impediment to hygiene and safety. So Yes some companies must enforce facial hair requirements along with safety standards.

It depends on what you do for a living if you're a welder and you have facial hair its best to shave it to wear your respirator and so that the respirator fits the best it can to protect you so you're not breathing in the toxic fumes.
