Can anyone tell me why there are so many brits on american television?

    Because Americans are so easily amused by a silly accent.

    A, There aren't that many big productions made in Britain.

    B  They are eager to be seen in the much larger American market

    C They're not too demanding of high fees

    D Some hope to build a new life in America

    E Brits often have an aura of sophistication and pedigree

    F Many people find British accents very appealing

    G Many are highly qualified having attended very prestigious drama schools such as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

      I don't think you've ever watched British TV. Silent Witness is one that comes to mind. It's been going for nearly 20 years. I'm totally hooked. BTW - I'm not British - just enjoy a good program.

    Actors can be British too and some Britains move to America to get better acting jobs
