# What would two and eighty-nine hundredths be in decimal form???

2 89/100 = [(2*100) + 89]/100 = 289/100 = 2.89

Look at a place value chart or table. To the left of the decimal point are whole numbers. And to the right of the decimal point are fractional numbers. Then write your numbers in the correct place. And you'd write it the way you say. And would have just one number in each place. For instance, twelve ten-thousandths would have the 1 in the thousandths place and the 2 in the ten-thousandths place.

No way to know the age since it's taught in elementary schools up to college. So I kept things simple to cover all the bases. And provide assistance without giving the exact answer.

Take your calculator.  Add 2 + 89 divided by 100.
