What defines bisexual? Giving but not Receiving?

If a man likes having sex with women but with men he would consider being the "giver" and not the "receiver", does this make him bisexual?

If a man gets hard, finds sex gratifying, and orgasms with both male and female partners, he is bisexual.  It doesn't matter what positions he prefers or restricts himself to.  Strictly heterosexual men are unable to achieve an erection when presented with a male partner, even if they intend to be the "top".  Men who have sex with women and also exclusively "top" other men may claim to be heterosexual, but they are, in truth, bisexual.

There is one exception to the definition of bisexual above, and that involves rape.  Rape involves an erection, but it is not sexual.  It is an exercise of power and subjugation or abuse rather than a combining or mating (which is what "sex" is about).  So a heterosexual man might have sex with a woman, but succeed in staying hard to rape a man.  A homosexual man might likewise have sex with a man, but succeed in staying hard to rape a woman.

Rape is a matter of the rapist's mindset, not a matter of setting, context, or style.  A rape can appear genteel, but if it's about power and subjugation rather than combining or mating, it's actually rape.

...do have preferences, as you say - but they have more to do with the pleasure they achieve by dominating/demeaning a particular type of person, thant they do with that person's gender. So a hetero male rapist might become erect at the prospect of raping a man, if that's who he likes to degrade.

If a man enjoys being intimate with both men and women then he is bisexual.

Bi=2. Do you find 2 sexes sexually appealing in any way? Then you are bisexual.

If you can feel sexual attraction for both men and women then you are a bisexual. I think bisexuality is a lot more common than people think. Like if you can believe that being gay is a choice then surely it must be a choice for you. I think gay people and real straight people can understand eachother a lot better as they know what it's like to not feel attraction to a certain sex.
