Can Trump override an item in a law that he signed because he does not like it? Isn't the American way for him to veto the entire bill?

if there is something he has a problem with, or sign it into law and accept that item he does not like?

The line item veto was ruled unconstitutional by the USSC during the Clinton Administration.

No, he cannot. The line-item veto does not exist.

That's a "line item veto" and it is permitted in some instances and not in others.

No. Supreme Court ruled Line Item Veto power to be unconstitutional.

Presidents don't have the authority to do the Line-Item Veto. Some States allow the Governor to, but Presidents can't. Now if you mean can he sign something in to law and not enforce it then sure. After all Marijuana is still illegal and that isn't being enforced(as a clear example).

No he can not. That issue came up with Reagan and the supreme court ruled he can not do a line item veto.

He can also do a line item veto but he is limited on how much of any bill can be vetoed using this method.

Nope. Line item veto (or partial veto) by POTUS was ruled unconstitutional in 1998 by the Supreme Court. It’s all or nothing.

It's called compromise. It's what sometimes needs to be done in an emergency situation.
