Why do some people have a longer incubation period than others?

This question refers to the coronavirus. I have a theory in my head, and I want to check if I am correct.

I assume that the reason why certain people take longer to develop symptoms than others is because of the strength of their immune system. I mean, for those who have a stronger immune system, it takes a longer time for the virus to out-power the immune system and enter the cell. Is it possible that people’s incubation period depends on the strength of their immune system?

If not, can someone explain which factors does the incubation period depend on?

I think it is a very sound theory.
