Cannot access a dentist anymore, in terrible pain. They say they are open for emergencies but that means only prescribing antibiotics?

I have had terrible toothache since Friday and cannot access a dentist at all, even private dentists, because they are all closed due to coronavirus. I need the tooth pulled ASAP because I keep getting a re-occurring abscess in it.

Surely dentists are seen as essential??

If it's infected they won't pull it anyway.

Go to A & E and they refer to an oral surgeon? IDK It seems like an emergency to me since an untreated abscess can cause serious complications.

Went to A&E yesterday, literally holding my cheek because the pain was that bad and they just turned me away and said that it was non-urgent!!

Keep calling different Dentists and leave messages on their emergency line until one returns your phone call.

I do not know what the laws are where you live.

Where I live, dentists are still available but ONLY for emergencies.

Call and leave a message on your dentist's voice mail.
