Is this the best time to ride motorcycle across the country to see scenes that you will never get to see in your life time?

Ghost towns everywhere. What's the chance of seeing that again in your life time?

Ride out of Colorado to any surrounding state and be asked at the border to 'self quarantine for 14 days.  Ride on threw Kansas without a 14 day history of self quarantine and expect law enforcement intervention in Missouri!

Wife has an Aunt that crossed over a state line to  visit a Daughter in Kansas and was asked to self quarantine for two weeks, Wife is not good in the details and does tend to sensationalize?

… But then I have a Sister in Law that took a  return flight from Florida and was told to self quarantine and grew bored in three days and went off to work! She is a 'lawyer' and should understand the liability of performing such an act... Only from the behavior of a Lawyer!!!

Hook a trailer onto your bike and cry as you go, "Bring out your dead."

It might seem that way. But it would be selfish and irresponsible, staying out of situations that could potentially end up in requiring the assistance of others including emergency services, coming into contact with several people every time you stop, touching surfaces which have also been touched by countless others, is only going to add to strain on medical services which could be better spent on trying to preserve the lives of others. Stay home, service your bike, polish the chrome and wait until you get an all-clear.

Well, SARS-3 will eventually show up and perhaps it will be the Black Death of the 21st century. No cure, you either get better or you don't. Don't hold your breath. Some scientists think SARS-2 may become a seasonal disease like Influenza.

  • You might think so, except that with so many restaurants, campgrounds and motels shuttered, it may not be so easy.  The closing of a number of national parks would also detract from such a trip.

I went to Sturgis in the spring, it was nothing like the Sturgis  during the bike rally.   It was different, but hard to say it was better.  If you stay healthy, you would have quite a story.

It will be a good ride.   But being alone in restaurants and hotels will get old really quick.

And having a fever with severe coughing in an ambulance after the ride will tell you it was not worth it.  Stay home.

Only big cities are ghost towns. Now the small cities are the big uns.
