Friend says oil is coming out his cdi box and his valves are wet on his xr 250?

    The CDI itself is a box on the upper part of the frame usually under the gas tank . If he is is spitting oil or is it dry sump (most XR's were dry sump ) ,and or is he spilling oil when he needs to add to it .if the stator plate and flywheel are drenched in oil.Then obviously the side case seal is bad . Or he had  loose return line and oil is squirting up under the had tank Not enough info to pin point the problem

    Either he does not know what a cdi is, or he has not discovered where the oil is coming from, if it is oil.

    Remove the spark plug and check oil level.  Service if low.

    Now, if oil was coming out of his tire valves he'd have a real problem.
