Thousand deaths is a small battle, let alone a war. Anyway, epidemics are not comparable to wars.

We lost 23,000 in one day at the Battle of Antietam. But obviously that was a one off and wasn't happening every day.

FAKE NEWS. AMERICAN IS NOT repeat IS NOT :LOSING 1,000 people a day to CV 19.

    '

You are stuck in the FAKE NUMBERS GAME.

    '

Dr. Deborah L. Birx even ADMITTED THAT PEOPLE WHO DOE ACTUALLY OF SOMETHING ELSE and IF THEY WERE ALSO DIAGNOSED as CV 19 THEY WERE counted as CV19 Death.

    '

THAT means IF YOU DIE OF LING CANCER and you have CV19 YOUR NUMBER GOES ON THE CV19 Count as well as the CANCER numbers count.

    '

IF you have CV19 and die from a HEART ATTACK your counted as CV19.

    '

How come you people are still following the FAKE NEWS when the leading EXPERT Dr. Deborah L. Birx even says they are OVER COUNTING CV19 DEATHS.

Sorry not factual.  There has been reported about 400,000 cases of Covid19 in the USA and about 12,900 deaths.  Which means that the death rate is .03255%.

So where ever you got your total is so far wrong that it is not funny.

World War II. On average, 27,000 people perished on each day between the invasion of Poland (September 1, 1939) and the formal surrender of Japan (September 2, 1945)
