Why was Andy Griffith buried within 5 hours?

List the reasons why someone would be buried 5 hours after death - it was said his body was still warm. Andy Griffith.

Griffith was 86 when he died.  He and his family wanted a quick burial, without any fanfare, grieving, parties, etc.  Preparations had been made well ahead of his death for a quick burial.  Algor mortis ... the change in temperature after death ... indicates a reduction of 2 degrees in the first hour and 1 degree every hour after that.  Griffith would still have a core temperature above 90 degrees at burial.

Bodies are not still warm 5 hours after death.  Where did you do your research?

He didn't want a funeral or a viewing.

My husband was an Orthodox Jew and was buried 3 hours after he died, before sundown.

Because that is what he requested. He did not want a funeral.
