dunno for sure, could be one of many reasons, But if you first shower and wash that area first, then you can use one of these items; pure aloe vera gel spread on a tissue

and lightly on it, or you can always use coconut oil on the area, and either with soothe the itch.......

You scratch in your sleep and unwittingly transfer them to your mouth. to stop the cycle Saturate your bumbhole with baby-oil at night it prevents them from getting out to lay eggs, they will die and the cycle stops

Sometimes hemorroids will cause itching or something grainy that you ate that's passing through.  Also, too much yeast in the body will cause itching or you may have an allergy to a detergent or fabric softener that was used in your laundry.  Hope this helps.

Worms. Ever noticed a dog 'walk/slide' on it's backside? They do that because they have worms and that's how they scratch it. You can get tablets from pharmacy to get rid of worms. quite easy really. The bottom (!) line is - always wash your hands really well after going to the toilet and especially before eating. Especially wash them when you get up in the morning (for the times you scratch your butt during your sleep and don't know it) It's not washing hands and then eating that transfers the worms eggs into your system. The worm goes out of your anus and lays eggs there - that's what produces the itch - you scratch, don't wash your hands - and so the cycle continues.

Are you cleaning it well? After you use the bathroom make sure you clean it well. Use a wet cloth or baby wipes after to get a good clean. If you are then you may have fungus or worms. In that case you need a doctor
