Can sheets of paper curl endlessly?

    No, it can't. Paper does dry out if the relative humidity is low enough.

  • When you write on the paper, your hand transfers moisture to the surface of the paper. That moisture soaks into the fibers on the side you have written. The fibers that have absorbed moisture swell, causing the paper to be longer on the written side versus the unwritten side, causing it to curl. endlessly.
