What does the "ace" part of space mean in Astronomy & Space?

    Means you didn't spell space correctly.

    Obviously the giant black shovel head that is found on some cards marked with a black "A" in two corners. I am supposing, of course, that the "sp" stands for spade, and that card, with the capital "A" and the giant space in the centre, is the "sp"ade "ace".

    Similarly, you should find the clace, the diamace and the hace.

    Nothing. It is not particularized. "Space" has no prefix or suffix and isn't a combination of multiple root words.
