What does this sentence exactly mean?

When someone says that you will meet someone who truly likes you for who you are as a person, is he basically saying that you will find a kind person who will like in spite of all those things that are wrong with you which other people dislike you for.

He could be saying that. Or that you deserve far more than you’re getting, because of who you are, which implies your appeal

If there are things you know that are wrong with you that cause others to dislike you what are you doing to correct them? If the answer is nothing then to expect any other kind of reaction in the future seems completely illogical to me.

There are people who think that there is something wrong.I don't know if others shared the same opinion.
