Hockey would be extinct by then because of global warming!

In some areas it already is. Unlikely on a national level.

  • I'm sure hockey will do its dead level best to ensure this won't happen.

Probably not, due to baseball's head start and its well-known American fan base.

According to a poll taken in 2017, football was the most popular sport in the US followed by basketball. Baseball and soccer were tied for 3rd and hockey was 5th.

I think that after the way the players have shown their collective Snells in the midst of this pandemic baseball could wind up 5th on that list, behind soccer and hockey, by next year.

You'd expect what we're seeing from MLB players this year from thugs in the NFL and NBA. What they're doing is going to hurt them more than they realize.

Hockey is a distant sport to football, baseball, and basketball.  I don't see that changing.  If anything, hockey will fall further behind.

    Absolutely.

Check back in 10 years to see how it went.
