Is beating your kid so hard leaving a bruise bigger than softball on his butt abuse?

If this is true, the person behaving this way needs to ask himself whether he would do that to a man who is larger than him. Obviously such behaviour damages a child even more mentally/emotionally and for a far longer period that the physical damage. I very much hope that such cowardice is extremely rare - and not actually true in this case. Such a perpetrator would need help - and imprisonning.

If you leave a mark - it is abuse.

I am not from the child protective team. If you like please leave your address and phone number and I will forward it to the child protective team and they will come examine your child and tell you whether your child has been abused

I'd say so--but then, I got my kids to behave without beating them at all.
