Is this all messed up ? One autopsy says he died from " asphixiation " and the State says death was die to "heart failure". Any comments?

Update:

oops, due to heart failure.

Update 2:

of course it's all too obvious which cause of death the family of George Floyd are going to believe.

    Hello Phil,

Since Mr. Floyd was alive until he encountered the police officer, any official autopsy suggesting death from reasons other than the actions of the police officer, is both disingenuous and insults common sense. It is sadly not uncommon for official-autopsies in such cases, to be possibly: inaccurate, biased, and unhelpful.

Here are some other concerns about the death of Mr. George Floyd:

It has been asserted that it is not possible to speak while one's airway is obstructed, which is correct. However, if a perpetrator presses their knee persistently enough to obstruct breathing, this will consistently reduce the supply of oxygen, cause organ failure, and ultimately, death. In the current example the extent to which the victim was able to speak was under the control of the perpetrator. Releasing knee-pressure would allow the victim to speak, while applying knee-pressure would shut off the airway again. The behavior of the perpetrator in shutting-down the air flow, then allowing it, before shutting it down again, shows malice likely indicating first-degree culpability. The end result of the perpetrator's actions clearly shows the lethal-nature of those actions.

If there are some people who assert the treatment of Mr. Floyd "safe", they might try an experiment with themselves in Mr. Floyd's place; and afterwards let us know the result.

Perhaps those making the allegation Mr. Floyd resisted arrest, did not notice, but the victim was not resisting arrest for the 8 to 9 minutes that the officer's knee was on his neck, and which lead to the victim's death.

Some have pointed-out that it may not be possible to prove the treatment of Mr. Floyd was racist, yet in any event No One should be treated in that manner. However, the current example is only one of many where the victim has been black. If no action is taken Today, against such treatment being perpetrated due likely to the color of a person's skin, then anyone may get treated like that Tomorrow.

Those committing crime during protest should be truthful with themselves that their personal-criminality has no connection with any criminality within the police. Lawful protesters should consider separating themselves from the law-breakers who are simply taking advantage of reasonable protest.

Measures that may be taken to resolve what has become institutionalized-racism within the police:

Police training must become subject to certain national standards as follows:

    * Police selection to include psychological-assessment that the applicant is fit for the job, including the detection and exclusion of those with prejudice-hatred.

If for example, applicants in one area are all found to be racist, then applicants from another area - if necessary another state, must instead be interviewed on that filtering process, until the evil of racism is completely-excluded from police ranks.

    * Training must include anti-racism, and also the concept of Community-Policing; thus excluding the current military-style police-training with its mentality of "them and us".

If this suggestion for training is not available in the United States, State Governors might consider liaising with the British Police Forces:

    https://www.college.police.uk/What-we-do/Learning/...

    * A significant proportion of black recruits must be made mandatory for police forces in places where there is a black community.

    * In protection of black police officers, there must be introduced a zero-tolerance policy against racist exclusion-bullying within the police.

    General:

    * Education provided for all young children must follow a similar selection process seeking to exclude racist teachers.

Anti-racism awareness must be included in the education of both teachers and the education of young children.

    I hope this helps.

    Robert.

What difference does it make? If you suffocate, your heart will fail......No?

Yes, a man who was not resisting arrest, dying at the hands (or knee) of someone sworn to serve and protect, is "messed up".

What's your KNOWLEDGE seeking question? Agreeing or disagreeing with you is opinion, not knowledge useful to anyone.

I'd suggest the one (asphixiation) led to the other.   Who has multiple autopsies?  Clearly one report suggest one thing, and another, another.  Depends on which you believe, unless you see a copy of the Death Certificate.

The heart is usually the final organ to fail.

His family have hired a very expensive ambulance chaser. They will be  wanting a massive payout.

Most ambulance chasers will shop around the various medical establishments until they find someone who tells them what they want to hear.

In this case a pre-existing medical condition verses asphyxiation by a police officer.

You do the math, it is all about the big payday.

This will settle out of court for an undisclosed sum and a binding non disclosure.

The only people who never lose in court are the lawyers.

BTW this payout will probably mean Minneapolis wont be able to fund certain projects or build infrastructure so many people will lose out for many years to come.

You don't know much about medicine do you. asphyxiation leads to heart failure.

Bothe the autopsies have ruled the death 'homicide'.  It is their description of the internal mechanism of death that appears to differ.  I get the impression you are clutching at straws, but that seems popular in US trials and sometimes seems to work if enough money is thrown at it.

Heart failure can happen from being asphyxiated. The state obviously just doesn’t want the bad publicity any more than it’s already received.

Asphixyation causes heart failure, its what happens when you have some guy kneel on your head for 8 minutes
