I’m trying to figure out how to listen to what I’m saying while I use a microphone when recording. I’m having a lot of trouble. ?

What I’m trying to connect is my Nikon 5600 DSLR camera to a Rode NT-1 condenser microphone and somehow connect earbuds to listen to what I’m saying while I’m talking into the mic. I’ve tried everything...

Does anyone know how to correctly allow earbuds to listen in to what I’m saying while I’m taking in my mic? Like Youtubers.

Any sound amplifier system at home can do. Plug mic into amplifier, set amplifier into Mic mode, plug in your headset to amplifier, turn on amplifier ,adjust the volume, speak to it and your voice can be heard from the headset.

    The d5600 doesn't have a headphone jack.

I found some vague information on a way to do it that involves extra equipment.

In general, DSLRs aren't a good choice for video.

But my d5600 has a 3.5mm hole that can be hooked up with a cable.
So there’s no way to do it using a DSLR?
      This is so frustrating....
