What are the healthiest cooking oils?

    None of them looks sick to me.  Sorry...couldn't resist that.

    Anyhow, avocado oil has a reputation as being the best for lowering lipids in the blood stream.  But compared to the other oils, it's quite expensive.  Olive oil is good, but not as good as avocado; but it is far less expensive.

    'Healthiest' may be a misnomer. Avocado oil has the highest smoke point, but is expensive. Olive oil may be considered the healthiest, but has the lowest smoke point and is not really recommended as a 'cooking oil'. 

    When cooking, use a Neutral oil-one that doesn't impart flavor into the food, like a vegetable oil. And it is cheap.
