Will housing benefits cover rent for a private let in the UK scotland?

Let's say £400 a month I have found a few private let's their are cheaper ones around £350 to £370

    It depends on how much housing benefit you're eligible to claim (if you're under 30 for example you can claim at most the amount for a room in a shared property, not a place of your own)

    Speak to the council and find out what you can get; then look for rentals with this in mind.

    Also; you'll need to be able to pay the deposit and first month's rent up front; and find a landlord willing to accept a tenant on benefits (many don't)
