    It's when you help or give to others without stipulations or no concern of whether it benefits you. It's unselfish and genuine... an admirable trait, unlike niceness.

    People are inherently selfish and aggressive. I think kindness is any attempt to consider what other people need and modify your thoughts or behavior as a result.

    Doing likewise (or "in kind") to others as you would have them to do unto you.

    I like the description of God as Lovingkindness. Just being very compassionate because of love. I guess. I suck at philosophy.
