I need a mic for live dialogues! Which one do you recommend that's under 500?
I have a black magic camera and I want the dialogues in my movies to sound as professional as possible. I don't really know much about mics other than my camera needs an xlr input. I've been looking at Rode but I heard that Oktava is better. What else do I need?

Use a dynamic mic.
Shure, Sennheiser, Electro-Voice, Audio Technica, Heil Sound,
and numerous other brands offer worthy models.
The vast majority of professionally made films
are made using what is called dialogue replacement.
The live sound captured on the set is used only as a reference
so that the actors can re-record their lines under well-controlled studio conditions.
