Do I need experience to try out for the high school dance team?
I have been practicing the techniques and have gotten better but i feel as if i have a lot of competition.

Only those who are in charge of the team at your particular high school could answer that question properly. Go and ask them.

Try your best! My highschools dance team was filled with people who's first time dancing was right then and there so the worst you could do is not try out. Especially if you already put a lot of hard work into it already!

That would be a question for whoever runs the team if possible :)

We can't possibly know whether your specific school wants people to have experience or not. Doesn't it say somewhere on the application notice?
If it doesn't, why not try out anyway and see what happens? If you don't get in, at least you'll be able to see what standard you should be aiming at for next year.

Depends on the competition. If most girls trying out have years of dance training then you probably won’t get on.
Read the instructions for trying out, is there any requirements?

No, you do not need experience to try out, but experience would be helpful if you hope to be selected for the team.
