Reddit just banned r/The_Donald, the largest pro-Trump subreddit, as it cracks down on hate speech and targeting, do you agree?

I'm on reddit and its political content is definitely leftist by nature so this isnt the least bit surprising at all.

It's as though Chanel went out of business, it has a huge impact upon others. The fact the biggest group of a specific topic is banned is what I support, it shows that Reddit cares, unlike Facebook. They can just flock to smaller groups, it's not like the problem is going to go away.

i don't agree, because all it will do is fuel the racist right into more anger and bitterness

they also are going to continuously whine about how their hate speech is free speech

Oh, it's one less group, the places they will be able to talk will be limited. Nice try though.

Reddit and quora are notoriously Liberal.

If a Christian answers a question honestly about religion, it gets spammed downvotes and often removed.

if reddit kicks people out its no longer a public forum and they become responsible for what remains. Its a illogical stupid childish move on reddits part and will probably put them in prison along with what ever terrorist talibam groups they support.

Well, Reddit is well known as an house organ of the Democrats and liberals in general and it is therefore not the least bit surprising that they would ban the President. Hate speech and targeting being defined by the Left as anything they don't want anyone to hear.

Hate speech is determined by the listener. Anyone can claim hate speech. If you denounce BLM it's hate, if you support BLM it's hate. Unless you totally agree with the democrats you are committing hate speech or crimes. Political correctness has gotten so out of hand that anyone who doesn't support democrats is subject to ridicule, job loss.... Free speech isn't free anymore

    1) It's a private company. Free speech doesn't apply the way it does in news media.

-EX: If you walk into Beyonce's house and start screaming White power, she has the right to kick you out and never talk to you again.

    2) Reddit has been moderating on behalf of section 230 to moderate for things like hate speech and child pornography.

-There have been experiments with AI and Trump's speeches. In the experiment, the AI continuously marks Trump's speeches as hate speech. Objectively, Trump speech has been labeled as hate speech by AI.

If you don't like the user agreement of these social media site have and want to continue hate speech don't check agree when you're signing up. The site won't let you join but at least you didn't lie. If you want an open forum for your hate speech go to 4chan. That's where hate speech, terrorists and extremists live. If you want hate speech you are obviously an extremist and there are places for people like you.

It doesn't matter whether or not I agree. Their house, their rules. Besides, you can expect some anomalous cultural behavior to happen when a self-proclaimed troll makes it all the way to the White House for the first time.
