Which sentence is correct?

A. Neither as a visitor nor as a curator had she ever touched the painting.

B. As neither a visitor nor a curator had she ever touched the painting.

    B is better, but, even it isn't very good.  "While she had been both a visitor, and a curator, she had never touched the painting."  would be better.
